Battle Rod - Rod Ends

I chose the 4" battle rod end for heavier catches. The battle rod end is stiff and responsive. The battle end 4" is a great compliment to other Emmrod tips when you want to fish multiple fish species in one outing.

Really smooth and is easy to disassemble for cleaning.

This is your typical, modern 2000-series type of reel, almost certainly made in China (I didn't check, but I'd bet it was). It's not great, but it's a decent value for the price. As one other reviewer said, it does feel a tad heavier than my more expensive reels, but you often get what you pay for. I wouldn't shy away from this if you were a few-times-a-year-fisherman, but I might seek out something a little higher quality if you go more (or take it more seriously).

As good as any for the price. Heavy duty bail and body. Positive drag with clicks. A little heavier than my ultra light reels, but matches the durability of the emmrod poles. I've already yanked some nice browns out, and hope to try this setup on steelhead.
