Awesome Compact Rod!! Put a Shimano NASCI on it, put it in my back pack and was able to jump on my bike to do some fishing. Very well built, and I really like the length of the pole grip. Highly Recommended!

I love this rod. It is my go to fishing rod any time I travel. But more and more I fish it at home too. Today I caught a 44” Muskie with it and it handled the fish as well as my 9’ Muskie rods. I am a believer.

Snorkel fishing. This thing is the best. Saw it on Youtube video of guy getting Pacific rock bass. I use it to pull in reef fish for my home aquarium.

    Kayak King

What I really like about this product is the fact that even though it is a steel rod by nature, it is very sensitive on deep-sea fishing boat. I was feeling hits on my line 300 feet down. Which I was really excited about and it really holds up to bringing up two 15th pound fish at the same time both swimming in opposite directions

Well.....first let me say that since we are in winter I have not really used this on the water . I did however play around with it enough to discover it casts easily and really quite far. It is exactly what I wanted.Very sturdy and compact. Perfect to tuck into a backpack along with my Klymit raft for fishing the lakes here in Northern Ca.I am super excited and cannot wait for summer

    Perfect addition to my collection

I already have a Combat/Battle rod and a Pack rod and wanted something with a little longer handle to work heavy cover and catfish. I've only had it for a month or so, but it's been great so far. I've been fishing with Emmrods for a number of years now and they have been very reliable. Careful, there appear to be a number of knock-offs and Chinese clones on Amazon.com.

    High quality power!

I finally purchased an Emmrod after years of wanting to try one but not wanting to spend the money. I'm so glad I finally did. I went with the Kayak King even though I don't kayak because of the longer butt section and the TPE grip. I like to use a rod hold from bank or boat and the extra length helps with this and leverage. I also chose 4 coils and paired it with an Abu 4600c3 and 8lb mono. I can cast this set up around 30 yards or so with a half ounce sinker and night crawler and that's me as an Emmrod nube so my distance is growing with practice! One of my first 5 fish was a 20lb catfish pulled from the Mississippi river while fishing from the bank. The little 4 coil rod bent just right to give my 8lb mono the protection it needed to land that fish! I've put a small keyring through my lanyard hole in the rubber covered metal butt cap so I could add paracord for hanging around my neck while wading keeping my reel above water. I can also add an S clip or carabeaner for belt loop carry. Thank you Emmrod you have a life long customer!
