    Love these rods

Posted by Unknown on 20th Aug 2017

Kayak king and pack rod are amazing! I gave up using my normal rods this summer and have just been using my 2 kyak king bait casting emmrods and my pack rod spinning, these rods are amazing and fun. I tell everyone about them and hopefully can buy more in the future.

    compact and fully capable

Posted by Paul on 18th Aug 2017

It has taken me a while to get to this review only because I had paired the emmrod with my first bait casting reel. The reel has been a real learning curve and the emmrod has made it enjoyable. Short and compact, the Emmrod easily stores in my truck for those weekend drives to the lake. I've caught two lake trout on this rod fishing in areas along the lake that would have been impossible with a regular fishing rod. I've been fishing with a medium sized spinner casting both with and against the wind and the Emmrod has performed very well for each situation. I wanted to get extreme with this rod as far as proximity to obstructions and had as little as 42" to my casting side hitting an area between a log and a patch of underwater vegetation. The Emmrod made it happen without issue. That was where I caught my first lake trout. Get one, have fun and fish on!

    great rod for kayaking

Posted by William H. on 18th Apr 2017

This rod preforms great! I fish almost exclusively from a sit in kayak and I would get my rods caught in over hanging trees as well as struggled to get the fish close to me with out dipping the back of the rod in the water, these are no longer issues. There is a small learning curve to casting with the shorter rod, but I recommend this rod to anyone who fishes from a kayak.

    Not yet used

Posted by Armen on 27th Sep 2013

I haven't gone fishing with the rod yet so I can't comment on it's use. However, just on inspection, the product seems well made. It seems a bit expensive, but I will hold final judgement until I can use it. I attached a $12 Zebco spin caster.

    Cool product; shipping issues

Posted by Unknown on 14th Sep 2013

Cool product. Frustrated with shipping. They need to post that it can take up to 48 hours to process and order so that in reality 2 day shipping really means that it can 4-5 days to get the product.

    So far, So good

Posted by Ben on 24th Mar 2013

I have used the kayak king with my baitcaster several times so far without difficulty. I am not quite able to cast as far yet, but I think with just a little more work my casting distance will be the same as it is with a normal rod. I absolutely love the size of the rod on my kayak. No more having to worry about overhanging trees!
