Overall product
Product is great and easy to handle. Very compact. I hike alot to fishing spots and I can carry this easy on my pack. It takes some getting used to be able to cast very far with it. With it being small and light weight. I use a kayak to fish mostly now so it makes it great to be able to keep a small and compact rod with me I carry it everywhere you never know when you will see a spot and want to fish

Does everything I need it to do
Kayak King with 50cal 8coil rod end. Pflueger President 20x spinning reel. Berkley Trilene 6# monofiliment. While practicing in my backyard with a 1/8 ounce casting plug, I quickly found (minutes) that I could side cast a consistent 60 feet. Achieving accuracy took a while longer. I've had a pair of Packer Cast Rods for over a decade that mostly did back-up duty, and they never let me down. I wanted a spinning rod that could do the same. I can't wait to fish with it.

Kayak King
Great rod, using it for fishing in Puerto Rico…catches blue crabs as well.

Best Kayak rod I've ever used
I purchases a Gulfmaster a littler while back, which has become my favorite rod on my Kayak fishing trips in the ocean waters out here around Singapore. I wanted to try the Kayak King, and the longer version of the rod end (20") and wow! another hit. The action on these rods is simply amazing, and it always surprises me how much fish these rods can handle, effortlessly. My biggest problem is trying to decide which one of my two Emmrods to use every weekend! Also, I have to say that Tim is so very helpful, and another reason why I will keep coming back to see what he and his team come up with. If you haven't tried an Emmrod, I would highly recommend it...

KAYAK KING® SPIN ROD
I purchased 2 Packer Rods for hiking and bike-camping. The overall quality is very good. I purchased 10 more: 3 Kayak King and 7 PackRod Spin, and again I'm appreciating the over quality, e.g. handle, action, durability and compact size - while not overly compact.

Heavy duty
We just got back from Alaska for Second Salmon run on the Kenai we brought both our Emmrod’s it was a blast pulling in monster sockeye salmon on a 18 inch rod that fits in my backpack with all my gear. We use them in Florida also where we fish for sharks and bottom fish offshore. Just beware of fakes on the market China has made some copies and posted on Amazon I accidentally bought one needless to say I figured it out and I never use that one the only two I use are the ones I bought directly from Emmrod.com

Kayak King
Really a nice setup. I will be using this on my kayak along with a few other Emmrods. What I really like with the Kayak King is the length of the handle is the same as Bass Rods which is great and then with the shorter rod ends I can keep them in the same rod holders on the kayak but when close to shore don't have my rods get caught in overhanging trees. The ability to change ends depending what I'm fishing for is also a great feature. Overall great rods and what I will be using for all my fishing from now on.
