    Fishing Flexibility

Posted by jim kish on 15th Nov 2011

I'm a active 76 yr old retireee.I was taught how to fish @ a very young age growing up in Cleveland Ohio.I spent a lot of time fishing on Lake Erie for perch, pike, pickerel, walleye, carp sheephead, etc.Bait casting with a level wind reel and yes, steel rods.We used this setup for all forms of fishing! We've come a long way in fishing technology since the 1930's! In my retirement yr's I had to give up fishing because I coulden't afford this new technology! Then in the summer of 2011 I found Emmrod. What a blessing for me! I could afford to own the best of the best in this high tech.modern day fishing revolution!! My 1st purchase was the Packer 4 coil.Shortly after, I purchased the Kayak King with the 6 coil rod.I also purchase the short 2 tip rod,and the top water rod. What I love about the kayak King is the flexibility it gives me in any fishing scenario.By interchanging these rods,I can determine the size and species of fish I'm after. Also the King can be fished with a closed face reel a spinning reel,an underspin reel,or,a level wind reel.I don't have to buy separate rods to match my reels. A very big savings!!! Both my Packer rod and my kayak King are set up with Zebco 5 bearings reels,Shakespear 10 bearings, and the Pflueger 10 bearing reel.If I could only afford 1 rod it would be the Kayak King!!!
