Packer
Bought a pink one for me and an orange one for my son. Quality is amazing but I definitely wouldn’t recommend the packer for ice fishing as the metal gets very cold in your hands. Can’t wait to throw some baits out with it in the summer!

8 coil packer
I had been in search of a compact rod that I could easily pack in a bag and take off for a ride on my motorcycle. I had tried telescopic rods, but there was always some damage eventually. The solid construction of the Emmrod means I dont have to worry about damage to the rod by having it in my backpack. I focus mostly on panfish, catch and release, which the 8 coil rod does just fine. If I want to scale up, all I need to really to do is switch out line and tackle. Casting on an emmrod does take practice amd adaptation, but with practice it has pinppint accuracy and casts pretty far. I've been using a generic, cheap spincast reel, but I will definitely upgrade to a better reel; the rod is worht it and deserves it. It's also a great conversation starter; people can't help but want to look at it. I would ask that the rod handles incorporate a loop so as to be able to use a handle strap. In my view, a handle strap or some way of securing the rod would improve it.

Packer
This rod is simply the best behind the kayak king. I use it for slow rolling Texas rigs and crankbaits.

Packer fishing pole
I operate tow trucks here in Georgia, and I keep a zebco 33 on my packer and in a spider wire jump bag, it’s small enough to keep behind the seat in the truck, in between calls I hit the rivers and creeks around home and I love the way my rod has survived the abuse I throw at it, had many a bass on it, many bream and no matter weather I throw it behind the seat or in the tool box under the bed it’s always ready for it, all in all I give it 10 stars out of 5

Haven’t fished with it yet, but...
Feels very well made and I did play around with it and I was surprised at how accurately I could place a weight when casting. The shorter rod length almost made it feel more like I was throwing a ball than casting from the end of a long pole. I got this rod for bike packing and I really like how light it is and how small it packs down. I’m going to take it to Ireland this summer and I’ll be backpacking around a bunch of mountain lakes. It’s nice to know that I can take a chance at fresh fish for dinner over a camp fire!!
