Excellent build quality. Can't wait for winter to leave town so I can get to fishing with this amazing setup.

Handy, unique, effective, and grabs attention.
I ordered late on a Thursday night and received my emmrod on Monday morning. It was a few days before I got to try it. I practiced casting one evening before taking it out in my kayak.I didn't know if I would make it to the water because everyone kept stopping me to ask "what is it?" I got a late start on a hot sunny day and was afraid the fish had stopped biting. Determined to fish with my new rod, I set out with a rooster tail and little else. Working my way between private docks and making short casts of about 12 to 30 feet, I worked the tight spots and somewhat shallow water, mostly retrieving parallell to the shore. Immediately, I got a couple of strikes. A few minutes later I had a large and feisty bream on the hook. A few minutes after that I had a largemouth bass beside the kayak, but he threw the hook as I reached down for him. A few minutes later I landed another largemouth bass about 14" long. The fish stopped biting suddenly, but I persevered. When I returned to the marina, I spent some time explaining the emmrod to all the curious people and showing them pictures of the fish hanging from the emmrod. I decided to go out to the end of the pier and make a couple of casts. On about the third cast I caught a hybrid bass. After tossing him back, I caught another one on the next cast. It was past dark by then and I had to go home sooner or later, so I accepted that it was a decent day of fishing, especially when one considers I haven't fished at all for many years. My new fishing license had barely cooled off from being laminated and I was catching fish with the emmrod. I'm a satisfied customer and now I need to decide on my next purchase,...the packrod spinning or the spinning kayak king.

Great little pole
Got the packer cast - have only used it once for Croaker. Great for casting esp. when around others - or in tight spaces. Packs easily and carry it in the truck tool box for those just in case moments.

Clever little thing !
I must say that since i purchased my packer cast pole i cant seem to stop casting with it whether its in the garden in the back of my house (with a hooless troll) or at the river , i have now wrecked all my wife's flowers in the garden , but she forgives me because she can see how much fun this toy of mine brings me :-)

Packs A Punch!
Used the emmrod with a two tip and an 808 zebco reel and it was pure power! Picked up even the smallest of bites and was quick to reel in the fish. I'm looking for that monster fish to push my setup it to its limits!
