Packer® Cast Rod

I LOVE my Packer Emmrod!! The small pole is easy to hold and fish with. My husband was somewhat embarrassed when I came home with this pole, he told me I couldn't fish from the boat with it! He does let me fish from the boat with my emmrod and is always surprised when I catch fish with it! I have outfished him several times with his expensive rods. It's especially fun to see other boats go past us and start to point and laugh when they see my small pole. I now have 3 emmrods and will definitely purchase another in the future!! Admin notes: They used to laugh at Henry Ford and his contraption too Debbie....don't let it get to you, just continue to have more fun and catch more fish than everyone else!!!!

I plan on purchasing (4) more poles from emmrod...these poles are amazing, just what the "Dr. Angler", ordered. I'll never purchase another conventional rod again.

I got a Packer to go camping and backpacking. I wanted a rod that would compact well to stow in a backpack pocket or bucket. I was amazed at the design. I got to test it at a local fishing event. It was amazing to pull trout with something that small! I had quite a few people that asked what I was fishing with. I told them: "Its an Emmrod!"

Got a Packer for each family member. This will be one of the first things packed for vacations from now on out! My two boys are sure to put them to good use on camping trips with the Boy Scouts! One of the best Christmas presents I have purchased in a while! Nice workmanship, sure to last for many seasons of fishing.

i purchased the packer about 8 months ago, its very sturdy and reliable but it has a lot of weight for its size. casting with one hand after a while starts to have some strain on you're wrist but it still get's the job done and catches fish

Just got in the mail - havent used yet. Plan on throwing it in the survival kit. Rugged and durable, 6 coil seems perfect for me. Feels solid and stable, yet still flexible to get a good cast and sensitivity. The connector is solid - many other break apart poles i've had are no where near this solid.

I was pleasantly amazed at the quality of the Packer Cast Pole. I knew it was a cast aluminum pole but was very impressed by the craftsmanship. The seams are virtually undetectable and the tooling is flawless. I like my toys and really admire things made well. I thought the Packer Cast Pole would be good but was surprised to see and experience the exceptional design, construction and durability. In a world where I have been conditioned to expect the worse or at least the mediocre, Emmrod has restored my faith in quality. I did get more value, quality and craftsmanship than I could have imagined and none of the disappointment that I expected!

i just purchased the packer model and it was everything i thought it would be. Although i bought it with the wrong rod tip for what i fish for i don't regret purchasing the extra changeable tip. The 6 coil compared to the 8 coil is a pretty big change in sensitivity

We've been looking for a compact fishing pole to take with us when we bike the Youghiogheny River Trail in Pennsylvania. Every product out there was total junk and not worth buying. We then found Emmrod's site during an internet search. Their "Packer" pole seemed to be perfect. I had a few questiosn and called the company's contact number. It was late Saturday afternoon and I left a message, not expecting a response until Monday. A few moments later, I get a call from Lance Markley, EVP of the company. He was so very nice and helpful. I placed an order for two Packer Combo's and got them three days later. We LOVE these things!! My husband is a serious fisherman and was skeptical that the quality of such a small pole may not be what he was used to. He admitted he was very wrong (Trust me, that doesn't happen very often!) The packer's are a blast to fish with and so convenient to store and transport. They are very well constructed and worth every penny. More importantly, Emmrod's customer service is amazing. All companies should take note and treat their customers like Emmrod does. Thank you for a great experience. ...By the way, we caught fish on our first day out with our new poles!
