    PACKROD KICKS A$$

Posted by Chris Morris on 11th Nov 2023

Took out the Packrod for the first time yesterday and reeled in 11 fish! I have spent a lot of time trying out different hand reels and hobo reels, looking for a viable small package fishing kit and the PACKROD has stolen the show. I put a Daiwa QR Ultralight with 6lb monofilament on and an altoids tin with various lures and hardware in my pocket, and thats all I needed! Very pleased with this product and I foresee owning one the rest of my life! The rod itself takes up barely any space and weighs next to nothing, goes together with no tools and functions like a full size fishing pole! If you are looking for a small kit for camping, hiking, or just to keep in your vehicle or bag you will not be disappointed with this!

    Great rod

Posted by Sam on 13th Sep 2022

Have used this when I go fly fishing so I can switch it up to throw some spinners. Plan to hit some pink salmon soon and then use it ice fishing in the Winter. Have caught a brown trout using a spinner first time out and it handled it perfectly!

    Awesome!

Posted by Jordan on 22nd Jun 2022

I only fish a handful of times a year and I wanted a rod that could fit in my bug-out bag and hold up to being thrown around. Super tough and portable the Packrod delivered on everything I was looking for. Caught a couple of rainbow trout on my first session with it! Love it!

    Durable and easy to use

Posted by Damian on 13th May 2022

Pros: Super durable Sleek, portable, and lightweight Easier to use than traditional rod Cons: Lower to the ground Difficult to take out the coil (gets easier over time) Does not cast as far as a traditional rod

    Excellent Quality

This rod exceeded my expectations. I was initially weary of the cost until I unpacked it. Love it and it won't be my last. If you are on the fence, don't be. Order it.

    The strength

This rod by far is the strongest I’ve had… and it cast out pretty decent.

    Pack rod/spin 6 coil

Posted by Josey Chambers on 7th Aug 2021

The packrod spin product is a really good and well built piece of fishing gear. I have so far caught a variety of fish with it but most have only weighed in at less than a pound. I like how easy it is to break the rod down and reset it to fish. I travel for a living so this rod makes it easy to bring a rod and some tackle nearly anywhere with me. The only reason for not rating 5 stars is I feel like it’s not as easy as I thought it would be to cast certain bait, usually smaller spin bait. I think I’ll end up buying the top water end that is the longest one emmrod offers. That should still give me an extremely small setup that still casts comparable to what I’m used to. I’ll also add that I have the 6 coil rod and if you’re looking at smaller bass/panfish the lighter action would do just fine. The 6 coil option has handled the bass I’ve caught with not problems at all and would handle a much larger fish than I’d expected. Emmrod will keep my business and I’ll also refer any of my friends looking for a similar setup.

    Pack rod

Posted by David Nelson on 23rd Mar 2021

This small rod works better than I had hoped. Casting a 7gm tasmain devil lure, the distance was close to that of a 6 foot rod. The advantage being able to cast in and from heavy tropical. I am now looking to use it on the Barramundi filled lakes around home in North Queensland. The six coil feels very like a normal rod to the point that you forget how short it is. I teamed the rod with a Shimano Sienna 1000 reel and 10 mono.

    PACKROD® SPIN

Posted by Ezine on 11th Mar 2021

I purchased 2 Packer Rods for hiking and bike-camping. The overall quality is very good. I purchased 10 more: 3 Kayak King and 7 PackRod Spin, and again I'm appreciating the over quality, e.g. handle, action, durability and compact size - while not overly compact.
