Absolutely the Best
I have waited for this rod design for a long time... Finally found it with EmmRod... Best River Rod I have ever used. Performed Flawlessly!

I love it
This rod (pack rod spin) is absolutely perfect for what I wanted to do. I live in Florida on the east coast of the state, own a jet ski and wanted something that would fit in my ski compartment but be able to handle a good sized fish. This fits the bill, the build quality is fantastic and I am just overall impressed. Lance answered all questions I had very quickly through email prior to me purchasing and really helped me make the right choice. As for fishing with it, I catch just the same if not more fish than my friends with their "normal" poles. I can feel every little nibble on the bait you just have to learn not to pull quite as hard as a full sized rod when setting the hook. If someone sees it, they usually ask me about it, it gets a lot of attention. I'm extremely happy with the purchase and will buy more in the future, I have been using this rod for a few months now a couple times a week. My biggest fish so far on the rod is a black drum.

Constant Companion
My pack rod is pretty much with me 24/7. Super easy to transport in backpack or in the truck. You never know when a little fishing opportunity will happen. It does all the work that my long rods did but is so much more handy. I can throw lures just as far with it as I did with the 7 & 8 ft. rods. If bottom fishing off a fishing pier, I would recommend carrying some sort of rod holder that you can affix to the pier rail unless you are going to hold the rod all the time. Being short, you can't just set it down against the rail like you would a long rod. Overall, I just love my Emmrods - all of them!

Great Product!
Just ordered an Emmrod Pack-Spin rod for a trip into Glacier National Park. The rod fit into my saddle bag and caught lots of fish without any problems!

works awesome
Got two Packers and one Packrod-spinning rods, these work just as good as 6- foot rods and longer with the convenience of a short combo. The long rods are parked in the garage for this reason plus they are a blast to catch fish on and I've gave them all a workout from bass to crappie to channel-cat. Don't make the mistake I did and wait on buying them because u think they are a gimmick. Emmrods are the real deal.

Indestructible
I was looking for a small, comfortable rod to pack in a backpack and I finally found it. The grip is good, the locking mechanism too and the feeling is great. It requires some training and major use of the wrist to cast decently, but it gets the job done. Maybe more expensive then other rods, but for me that I come back to work every day biking along a river, this was just what I needed, without fearing to break any tip or other parts while is thrown into the bag.

Amazingly functional and solid pole for backpacking!
I bought this pole to use for my backcountry visits to Alaska. It worked perfectly. I was nothing short of amazed in the build quality. My only regret is not going with a heavier coiled rod, but I didnt expect to be nailing 20 pound salmon at the time! Highly recommended!
