Great! .. But No Spring Casting

Posted by Royal on 5th Oct 2012

Works well with my open-face spinning reel ... but will not spring-cast like the others do. None of that pull back the tip and let go for a flat cast when in bushes or trees. My grandsons enjoy spring-casting with the packer and combat flex.

    Absolutely Fabulous

Posted by Blake on 18th Sep 2012

Better than you can imagine. I bought the Packrod and matched it with a brand new Phleuger Patriarch. Superior performance all the way. My first cast with the Packrod and Patriarch landed a BIG 5LB BROWN that still currently resides in the Arkansas River. I just pat 'em all on the butt and send 'em home. Want to have fun...get an Emmrod. I'm orderin' 4 more for Christmas Gifts for some of my "hard to convince" friends. More fun than a monkey on a hunnerd yard of grapevine. Get one...you're gonna love this.

Best pole for those tight spaces while either kayaking or hiking. A well thought out pole and rugged in designed without loss of action.

    Recieved as promised

Posted by Tom on 17th Jul 2012

I recieved my new packrod a couple of days ago. Shipping was prompt and packaging was very good. The outfit is very compact and will pack easily. I had a lot of difficulty locking the pole into the handle at first but the more I do it the easier it becomes. I'm looking forward to trying the packrod out in the next couple of weeks.

    Great Alernative To Regular Pole

Posted by New Yorker on 30th Dec 2011

I bought this pole with a 4 coil system. I am very pleased with the design and quality of material used. The two pieces connect by pushing down and turning the metal pole so it locks into position. It's a little hard to do because I have to really force it in to turn it. I hope this will loosen up with use. Another surprise was the handle material. I thought I was getting a cork handle, but a black rubber handle pole came. I like it so I kept [it]. Over all, a great product for the price. It will stay in my car for those occasional trips to the lake.
